Silver Licence

A Silver Licence Coach has the competence to plan, conduct and evaluate swimming coaching programs to enable swimmers to compete at State and Australian Age Championships. Note - A swimmer's performance criteria applies to gain a Silver Licence. A Silver Coach will focus on benchmarking, education and continuous improvement, promoting participation in competitive swimming at Country, State and above-level competitions, striving for performance and enjoyment to compete, development of the Club information, education and resources and business development of membership and participation.

The 36.5 hours of presentations at a Silver Coaching Course covers:
* Building a Coaching Model
* Mechanics of Swimming
* Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Individual Medley
* Race starts, Turning Skills, Drills and Performance Enhancement Skills
* Energy Requirements
* Training Principles, Integrated Training Model, Long Term Swimmer Development
* Flexibility Training and Warm-Up Practices, Mental Skills Training, Core Body Strength
* Assessment and Evaluation, Talent Identification
* Physical Wellbeing, Coaching Professionalism
