Swimming Coaching - Bronze Licence

A Bronze Licence Coach has the competence to promote participation in competitive swimming and to plan, conduct, evaluate and modify training programs to enable swimmers to compete at interclub/district and encouragement level meets. A pre-requisite of Junior Squad and Assistant Coach accreditation is required to gain Bronze accreditation. A Bronze Coach will focus on promoting participation in competitive swimming, developing a broader range of skills and techniques for Club swimmers, encouraging swimmers to compete at district level and above all, encourage participation, swimming for fun, play and skills and a safe swimming environment.

Once a coach has attended a Bronze Coaching Course, specialist courses for Open Water Swimming, Swimming with a Disability, and Training Adult Swimmers (via Masters Swimming Australia) are on offer or the coach may choose to upskill to a Silver Licence. (There is a pre-requisite of a Bronze Licence to gain Silver or specialist accreditation).
